Privacy Policy – Mi parada

Effective date: 19 August 2025 Data Controller: Basile Audard, Spain

At Mi parada ("we", "us", "our"), we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how and why we use it, and the rights you have under European data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1) What We Collect

  • Device Location – collected to enable location‑based functionality within the app.
  • Device ID – a device-generated identifier used for fraud prevention, diagnostics, and security.
  • User ID – a random identifier we generate; it is not linked to your name, email, or other direct identifiers.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or payment information.

2) Why We Use Your Data

  • To provide the core features of Mi parada.
  • To maintain the security, integrity, and performance of our services.
  • To diagnose bugs and improve the app.

We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

3) Legal Bases (GDPR)

  • Performance of a contract – to deliver the app's requested features.
  • Legitimate interests – to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and improve functionality in a way that does not override your rights.

4) Storage, Location & Security

Data is processed on secure servers located within the European Union. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

5) Sharing

We do not sell or rent your data. We only share data: (a) with service providers acting on our instructions under data processing agreements; or (b) where required by law or to protect our rights and users.

6) Retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Device IDs and User IDs are retained for as long as you use the app and for a reasonable period thereafter for security and audit purposes. Location data used to provide features is not kept longer than necessary to fulfil the requested action unless we must retain it for security or legal reasons.

7) International Transfers

We do not intentionally transfer your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). If a transfer becomes necessary, we will use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) and inform you where required.

8) Your Rights

Subject to conditions and exceptions in the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access your personal data,
  • rectify inaccurate data,
  • erase data,
  • restrict or object to processing,
  • and request data portability.

To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Spain, this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).

9) Children’s Privacy

Our app is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10) App Permissions & Apple Disclosures

Location – The app requests access to your device location to provide location‑based features while you use the app. You can change location permission at any time in iOS Settings.

11) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. If changes are material, we will provide an in‑app notice where appropriate.
